| FINANCE DEPARTMENT |
| |
| Finance Department is divided into following wings: |
Finance Wing
The function of Finance Wing is to:
- Process payments for authorized transactions of the Commission
- Ensure that payments are in accordance with the laid down policies & procedures
- Liaise with banks to ensure that banking arrangements are adequate
- Undertake investment of surplus funds
- Perform bank reconciliations and treasury management
- Be responsible for deduction, payment and record keeping of Taxes
Accounts Wing
The function of Accounts Wing is to:
- Prepare and obtain approval of annual Budget from the Securities and Exchange Policy Board Monitor actual expenditure against budgeted limits
- Maintain proper books of accounts for the SECP by recording of all transactions for receipts and payments, fixed assets, other assets and liabilities while ensuring that internal controls are properly adhered to
- Ensure that financial statement are prepared, audited and approved for submission to the Federal Government in a proper and timely manner
- Prepare and distribute monthly management information reports within the Commission
- Liaise with the external auditors

| HR & TRAINING DEPARTMENT |

| HR & Training Department is divided into following wings: |
Recruitment,Selection & Appraisal Wing
The function of Recruitment, Selection & Appraisal Wing is to:
- Advertise jobs, short listing candidates, and conducting tests and interviewsCoordinate with Head Hunters for Executive Search
- Process documents of new and existing employees
- Negotiate salary and obtain references of new employees
- Conduct orientation of new employees
- Advertise internships and manage the interns
- Develop new HR policies and procedures
- Maintain personal and professional records of all employees
- Manage HRIS and processes leave requests, etc
- Handle employee relations i.e. separations, contracts, transfers, postings, settlement of final dues etc
- Correspond with the Ministries and other Government agencies regarding HR issues
- Look after the Legal cases filed by/against the Commission on matters pertaining to HR
- Handle various appeals and requests by employees related to their terms and conditions of employment, other grievances etc.
- To vet policies, contracts and agreements for HR and Training Department.
Compensation, Benefits & Funds Wing
The function of Training and Organizational Development Wing is to:
- Oversee payroll, increment, bonuses and terminal benefits of employees
- rocess approval of all employee related loans, advances and advance salary
- Analyze and recommend changes to compensation levels and salary structure
- Manage SECP Employees Provident Fund, SECP Employees Pension Fund, SECP Employees Gratuity Fund and SECP Staff Welfare Fund in consultation with the Trustees of the fund
- Facilitate provision of all other benefits approved by the Commission for the employees including in-house medical facility.
Training & Organizational Development Wing
The function of Training and Organizational Development Wing is to:
- Plan and execute various activities for capacity building of the SECP’s employees
- Identify training needs and development of annual training plan through training need analysis
- Conduct assessment of various training institutes and their programs
- Seek nominations and process applications and documents of local and foreign training programs
- Coordinate with internal and external entities over development and execution of trainings
- Gather and keep records of training feedback
- Improve employee morale and increase employee retention through various initiatives such as games, events, trainings, gatherings, picnics, etc.

| MEDIA & CORPORATE COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT |
The function of Media and Corporate Communication Department is to:
- Maintain a regular liaison with print and electronic media to provide information on the events/ happenings/ changes introduced by the Commission
- Organize regular press briefings on various reform measures.
- Organizing trainings for journalists
- Work on the Commission’s publications including the Annual Report, quarterly newsletters, website, portals, supplements etc.
