The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan conducted an enquiry under Section 21 of the Securities & Exchange Ordinance, 1969 and Section 29 of SECP Act, 1997 to investigate Muhammad Ahmed Nadeem SMC-Pvt.) Limited's violations regarding the handling of securities entered in the sub-accounts maintained under its account without authority of the sub-account holders and violations of SE Ordinance, SECP Act, Central Depository Act 1997 (the “CDC Act”) and rules and regulations made thereunder and to inspect the books and records.

In this regard, the Commission has also filed a direct criminal complaint No. 803/2013 in the Session Court (West) Islamabad "SECP vs Muhammad Ahmad Nadeem, Chief Executive/Nominee Director of and Mansoor Ahmad Janjua, Company Secretary of the Company".

The Court after examination of record and recording of statements of the enquiry officers has issued notices to summon the accused for May 7, 2013.

new Azgard Nine Limited: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan conducted an enquiry under Section 21 of the Securities & Exchange Ordinance, 1969 and Section 29 of SECP Act, 1997 to enquire the matter relating to manipulation of share price and volume of Azgard Nine Limited against J.S Global Capital Limited. The complaint has been registered and bailable arrest warrants in the sum of Rs. 500,000 per accused have been issued.
