ISLAMABAD, August 11: Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has introduced changes to the regulatory regime for real estate investment trusts for promoting investment in real estate through capital market.

The ultimate objective of IFD is to create a standardized and harmonized regulatory and supervisory framework, for a vibrant Islamic primary and secondary capital market.
Dr. Sohail Munir, Chairperson PDA, visited the SECP and met with Chairperson Akif Saeed and senior management. SECP shared updates on its Leap Project and digitalized company registration process while PDA outlined its national digitalization mandate. Both sides expressed appreciation and agreed to hold further meetings to explore collaboration.
