Minster for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb Inaugurates SECPs Electronic Mortgage Register for Banks and Financial Institutions. Raises Curtain on New State of the Art Office in Karachi

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, inaugurated SECP’s Electronic Mortgage Register of Companies—a groundbreaking initiative that provides a centralized system for accessing and verifying company mortgage information. This comprehensive database offers Banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions quick access to accurate, up-to-date information, supporting better decision-making and strengthening trust within the financial sector. Additionally, the SECP announced the relocation of its Southern Regional Office and Company Registration Office (CRO) in Karachi to a state-of-the-art workspace, effective November 4, 2024. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Finance Minister Mr. Aurangzeb, who emphasized the significance of these developments in reaffirming SECP’s commitment to advancing Pakistan’s corporate sector.
