SECP Hosts Roundtable on the Future of Takaful in Pakistan

The SECP hosted a key roundtable in Karachi on “The Future of Takaful in Pakistan,” led by Commissioner Mr. Mujtaba Ahmad Lodhi and the Insurance Division.
Stakeholders included industry leaders, international brokers (AON, Guy Carpenter), Shariah scholars, policymakers, and development partners. The discussion focused on expanding the Takaful sector to drive economic growth and develop a strong, Shariah-compliant market in line with SECP’s Five-Year Strategic Plan. The SECP expressed gratitude to all contributors for helping shape a more inclusive Takaful framework.
